A "Tip Jar"? Because we have such wonderful customers who support us, we occasionally get asked about "tipping" or "gifts" to help us continue our work producing the best farm direct coffee, cacao & chocolate we can for those looking for something unique & special made just for them.....Since we're truly an owner-operated coffee farm and chocolate producer, time and money are usually in short supply. Luckily, our lifestyle is conducive to living frugally because we love our job and being on the farm 24/7;) We don't need much to live happily.
Since shipping prices have skyrocketed over the past couple years, along with general costs rising across the board (which we all know)....It's getting harder and harder to keep prices somewhat "normal". One glaring example is "out of the way" zip codes for FedEx, which is a big list, the extra charges they add completely wipe out all our profits for small orders. We dread raising prices for our products because we want everyone who's interested to be able to afford and enjoy them whenever they so desire. Over the past couple years prices have gone up considerably for us and we've resisted raising our prices more than the usual once per year (normally at the 1st of the year)...Which used to be the only time FedEx raised prices on us (now during the year is common). Needless to say, our profit margin is shrinking faster and faster....which we can deal with up to a point. We're not in this for the money, it's the love of what we do and for those who support us & our brand....It's a lifestyle we cherish and want to continue.
So, for those wondering how they can help us, this is one way they can. Another great way is word-of-mouth. Spreading the word of our little brand of single estate, farm direct coffee, cacao & chocolate to family, friends and co-workers is a wonderful way to reach folks we can't....We just don't have the extra money to advertise the way we should. This is why we work so hard to make the best products we can, so people feel compelled to tell others about what they're missing! Seriously....How cool is it to know a coffee farm owner who makes their own brand of coffee & chocolate? A owner who does all the work, who makes their products fresh each month, then ships them straight from their farm to each customer's door! No middlemen stealing the profit, no long chain of delivery & changing of hands, no questionable ingredients, practices or origins.....This is farm direct at it's finest!
We just want to continue doing what we do with little fanfare, we're not in this to get rich & famous.....We're in this to provide wonderful people with some wonderful coffee, cacao & chocolate....that's it. To build relationships with folks who support our brand & everything we're trying to accomplish. Then returning the favor by supplying them with the best products we can with our hard work, dedication, and love for what we do. To share the benefits of this one-of-a-kind brand, to form our own little community of people who appreciate each other's role in this unusual "company" which is like no other brand or business out there!
